The Williams Field Black Hawks waltzed into their match Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Verrado, posting a 72-13 victory at home. Considering Williams Field has won four matchups by more than 31 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sophia Carnes was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with eight assists and four steals. The game was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Latoya Brooks was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Williams Field now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Verrado, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Williams Field will head out on the road to face off against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chaparral is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Verrado will be home for the holidays to greet Greenway at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th.
