It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Salt Fork Storm had no problem doing just that on Monday. They claimed a resounding 49-15 win over the Cardinals on the road. Salt Fork has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 21 points or more this season.
Chrisman lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lyndsi Smith, who scored three points along with three steals and three blocks. It was the first time this season that Smith posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Taylor Jones, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
The win (which was Salt Fork's 17th in a row) raised their record to 26-5. As for Chrisman, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-20.
Salt Fork will square off against Arcola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arcola is coming into the contest with ten straight victories on the road, so Salt Fork is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Chrisman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
