Walkersville extended the longest winning streak in Monocacy Valley - Piedmont this week by beating Governor Thomas Johnson, 22-19. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Frederick's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cadets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matt Hynes has thrown for 1107 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Alex Levine has 28 catches for 482 yards. Jerel English leads the league in rushing with 702 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Walkersville takes on Linganore. The Lions are in first place, while the Lancers are in fifth place.
Linganore led Monocacy Valley - Piedmont in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Tuscarora.
