Even though the El Dorado Christian Buffalos have not done well against the Clinton Christian Academy Patriots recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. El Dorado Christian managed a 48-42 victory over Clinton Christian Academy. Given El Dorado Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Clinton Christian Academy is ranked 457th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Parker Lowe, who scored ten points along with two steals. Lowe is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Manning, who scored eight points along with two steals.
El Dorado Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Clinton Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Dorado Christian will play host again and welcome Christian Learning Center, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clinton Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
