They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th. One thing working in Williamson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
Williamson can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Rain, posting a 73-31 victory at home. Given Williamson's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Rain is ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cottage Hill Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fairhope. Cottage Hill Christian Academy has struggled against Fairhope recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Cottage Hill Christian Academy got a solid performance out of Shadrick Toodle, who scored 21 points along with five assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Toodle has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Nguyen, who scored 11 points.
Williamson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
Williamson came up short against Cottage Hill Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 60-49. Can Williamson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
