The Geneva Knights will take on the Trinity Christian Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Geneva's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against New Smyrna Beach as they made off with a 13-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on five straight.
Bella Ortiz was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Chloe Incinelli was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Eden Bastian was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Geneva kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Trinity Christian Academy walked away with it. They blew past Altamonte Christian 20-4 on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for Trinity Christian Academy, who have now won four games in a row.
Trinity Christian Academy let Melany Martinez and Kay'La Jones run wild. Martinez went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Jones went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That triple marked the first that Martinez has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Nataly Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Geneva's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Geneva hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .433. However, it's not like Trinity Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .383. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Geneva's way against Trinity Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Geneva made off with a 17-2 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
