Basketball Recap: Spanaway Lake's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Spanaway Lake won the last time they faced Yelm, and Darius Alexander did his part to make sure it happened again. The Spanaway Lake Sentinels came out on top in a nail-biter against the Yelm Tornados on Tuesday, sneaking past 55-52 thanks in part to Alexander, who posted 24 points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Spanaway Lake's points.

Spanaway Lake's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1. As for Yelm, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spanaway Lake will take on Bonney Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spanaway Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season. As for Yelm, they will square off against Graham-Kapowsin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
