Cerritos is 9-1 against Artesia since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Dons will host the Pioneers at 3:15 p.m. Cerritos will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Cerritos' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Oxford Academy 10-0. The Dons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Artesia had taken Pioneer down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Titans by a score of 5-4.

Pacifica Hamilton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Kaleyse Foster, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Cerritos is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Artesia, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cerritos hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Artesia struggles in that department as they've averaged .408. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
