Basketball Recap: Mount Academy Skates Past Millbrook with Ease

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mount Academy had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 65-32 win over the Millbrook Blazers. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Mount Academy was led to victory by Jake Maendel and Bruce Maendel. Jake went 8-for-19 on his way to 19 points and seven boards, while Bruce posted 12 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Bruce a new career-high in steals. Jaren Page also deserves some recognition as he scored his first point of the season.

Mount Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Millbrook, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 12-8 record.

As of now, neither Mount Academy nor Millbrook have any future games scheduled.
