Softball Recap: Good Samaritan Homeschool Picks Up 11th Consecutive Victory

Good Samaritan HomeSchool entered their tilt with Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool on Monday with ten consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 11. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool back in February, they had to take a 11-0 loss.

Kinley Fife made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Fife wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. That stolen base was Brown's first of the season.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.
