The South Hunterdon Eagles were the 57-49 winner over the Dayton Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. South Hunterdon took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dayton on Saturday. South Hunterdon has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dayton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle Rosenstock, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marcus Manfredi, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
South Hunterdon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Dayton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Hunterdon will take on Warren County Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Hunterdon is facing Warren County Tech at the right time seeing as Warren County Tech is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Dayton, they will be playing at home against American Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
