The Meadowbrook Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Muskingum. Meadowbrook has not had much luck with the Tornadoes recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Masyn Campbell and Bentley Sedor certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Campbell scored 16 points along with two steals, while Sedor dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Campbell grabbed two or more steals. Colton Delancey was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Conner Hill had an outrageously good game for West Muskingum as he scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Kyle Porter, who scored 14 points.
Meadowbrook dropped their record down to 1-13 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for West Muskingum, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadowbrook won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Maysville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three games. As for West Muskingum, they will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Lexington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
