The Fannin County Rebels are on the road again on Saturday and play against the North Cobb Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on November 11th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Fannin County was fully in charge, breezing past Haralson County 41-14 on the road. The win was just what Fannin County needed coming off of a 48-14 loss in their prior game.
Lawson Sullivan got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 148 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 127 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Fannin County also got a significant boost from Judah Wood, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.
Meanwhile, North Cobb Christian came tearing into two weeks ago's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Business Engineering Science Tech with a sharp 24-0 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Cobb Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Bazarsky, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Michai Rowe, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Their wins bumped Fannin County to 5-5 and North Cobb Christian to 8-2.
