The Mexico Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Chittenango Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Mexico's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on December 1st after their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to Faith Heritage at home by a decisive 67-49 margin.
Chittenango has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 30 points or more this season. They really took it to General Brown for the full four quarters, racking up a 79-29 victory at home. Given Chittenango's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while General Brown is ranked 483rd), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ryan Moesch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 36 points. The game was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Bernardo Bortovski was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Mexico bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chittenango, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Mexico was dealt a bruising 84-43 loss at the hands of Chittenango in their previous matchup back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mexico was down 52-19.
