A well-balanced attack led the Highlands Ranch Falcons over the Castle View Sabercats in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Highlands Ranch blew the Sabercats out of the water with a 70-37 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-12.
Highlands Ranch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ezra Simonich out in front who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Baker, who scored 14 points.
Castle View's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenzie Tosch, who scored eight points. Claire Jacobsen was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Highlands Ranch has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Castle View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.
Highlands Ranch will be playing at home against the Cyclones at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pueblo West is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Castle View, they will head out on the road to take on the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. ThunderRidge is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
