The Harrison Central Red Rebels will be playing at home against the Gulfport Admirals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Harrison Central had to suffer through a rough 54-27 loss at the hands of Pascagoula. While losing is never fun, Harrison Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Pascagoula is ranked 18th).
Jonathan Pace put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jashun McMillian, who scored 4 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Gulfport came up short against Madison-Ridgeland Academy on Friday and fell 57-49.
St. Paul's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Harrison Central's loss dropped theirs to 4-3.
Harrison Central beat Gulfport 59-49 in their previous meeting back in February. Does Harrison Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gulfport turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
