While Laton's  win against Legacy Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Laton skirted past Legacy Christian Academy  22-20. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

 Jade Perez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   four  hits. Perez was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Madison Heffley was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Samantha Peralez, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances.
 Laton  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .723. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  win was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 Coming up, Laton will be playing at home against Tranquillity  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Alpaugh  at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
