Basketball Recap: Tyquan Glover's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dooly County over Wilkinson County

Dooly County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 56-42 to the Wilkinson County Warriors. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was TyQuan Glover, who posted four points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Glover is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sean Sallette, who had 17 points.

Even though they lost, Dooly County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Dooly County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wilkinson County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Dooly County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-52 defeat against Montgomery County on the 14th. As for Wilkinson County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-41 victory against Wilcox County on the 14th.
