Silex is 0-10 against Van-Far since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Silex Owls' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Van-Far Indians at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Silex will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while Van-Far is ranked 207th).
On January 2nd, Silex was the victim of a rough 60-40 loss at the hands of Monroe City.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Van-Far's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Canton by a score of 53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Van-Far has suffered yet this season.
Nikos Connaway put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Pacey Reading was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Silex's record is now 0-5. Van-Far's record now sits at 10-3.
Silex took a serious blow against Van-Far in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 85-44. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Silex was down 57-14.
