There's no place like home for the Hanahan Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Charleston Math & Science on Tuesday as Hanahan made off with a 53-32 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hanahan also won the last time the pair played last Saturday.
Jaylah Hughes was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Hanahan's points. Ashtyn Adams was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Charleston Math & Science lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dalailyn Reed. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points. Reed scored a full 56.3% of Charleston Math & Science's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Brown, who scored 6 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanahan will take on Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics is ranked 161st, while Hanahan is ranked 156th). As for Charleston Math & Science, they will be playing at home against Academic Magnet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
