Arcadia and Muir are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Arcadia Apaches will head out on the road to face off against the Muir Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Arcadia has four straight wins, Muir has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Arcadia can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Glendale 85-65. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Arcadia has posted since January 5th.
Arcadia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mansour Senneh, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Senneh is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaydon Price, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Muir was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 54-49 to Hoover.
Arcadia is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Muir, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.
Everything went Arcadia's way against Muir when the teams last played on January 5th as Arcadia made off with a 77-56 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arcadia since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
