Basketball Game Preview: Gramercy Christian Warriors vs. Faith Christian Academy Conquerors

The Gramercy Christian Warriors just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Faith Christian Academy Conquerors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Gramercy Christian comes in on four and Faith Christian Academy on five.

On Thursday, Gramercy Christian really took it to Fellowship Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-10 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-2.

Gramercy Christian can attribute much of their success to Riley Kincer, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave Kincer a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Stephen Rooks, who scored five points and eight steals.

Gramercy Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy earned a 60-47 win over Christ Covenant on Tuesday.

Faith Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.8 points. As for Gramercy Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Gramercy Christian might still be hurting after the 70-46 defeat they got from Faith Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Faith Christian Academy's Ben Reese, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points.
