After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Salpointe Catholic, Rio Rico was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. They blew past the Flowing Wells Caballeros 20-0. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
The critical scores for Rio Rico came from  Vika Hetherington and  Jesanie Tapia.
 Rio Rico didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Hetherington and  Alessandra Serrano Monreal. Hetherington got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
Rio Rico's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Flowing Wells,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-6.
 Coincidentally, Rio Rico and Flowing Wells will both be playing Pueblo the next time they take the field. The Caballeros will  host the Warriors at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday, while the Hawks will  host them  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
