The Deer Trail Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Arickaree 54-20. Deer Trail has struggled against Arickaree recently, as their  match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the loss, Deer Trail still got an impressive performance from   Jaden  Gudenkauf, who  scored 11 points along with seven  rebounds and six  steals. Another player making a difference was  Jeanette Rodriguez, who  scored four points.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Deer Trail  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only three  assists. They  were crushed by their opponents in that department as Arickaree  racked up 15  assists.
 Arickaree was led to victory by  RAEYA SCHROCK and  JANIYA SMITH.  SCHROCK  scored 22 points, while  SMITH  scored 15 points along with four  steals. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of  JANICE KALCEVIC, who  scored eight points along with three  steals.
 Deer Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Arickaree, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Deer Trail is on the road again  on Friday and play against Wiley at 2:00  p.m.  on January 5th. Wiley comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Arickaree, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fleming at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Fleming is coming into the  game hot, having won their last three games.
