The Bluffton Bobcats had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They came out on top against James Island by a score of 59-50. The score was all tied up 31-31 at the break, but Bluffton was the better team in the second half.
It was another big night for Tacoya Heyward, who almost dropped a triple-double on 22 points, nine assists, and nine steals. Heyward is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Ja'laina Mosley was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, James Island still got an impressive performance from Andrea Duncan, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 58% of James Island's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Graf, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Bluffton's win was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for James Island, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
