Maimonides is 2-8 against Ursuline Academy since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Maimonides M-Cats on the road again and play against the Ursuline Academy Bears at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, Maimonides ended up a good deal behind Pioneer Valley Christian and lost 64-47.
Despite the loss, Maimonides got a solid performance out of Leah Kaplan, who scored 21 points. Eden Taieb was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, the Bears came up short against the Bears two weeks ago and fell 50-42.
Maimonides' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3. As for the Bears, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Maimonides suffered a grim 47-23 defeat to Ursuline Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Can Maimonides avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
