The Athens Academy Spartans were the 6-3 winner over the Social Circle Redskins when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Athens Academy ended up on the wrong side of a rough 5-2 walloping at the hands of Social Circle on Friday.
Athens Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Social Circle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Athens Academy will take on Hebron Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Social Circle, they will be playing at home against Monroe Area at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
