Baseball Recap: Central Hinds Academy Triumphs

The third road matchup was the charm for Central Hinds Academy, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 12-9 win over the Myrtle Hawks on Tuesday. Central Hinds Academy's victory was all the more impressive since the Hawks were averaging only 3.14 runs allowed on the season.

Central Hinds Academy got a massive performance out of Jay Shuff, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Shuff has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Walker Bradford also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Central Hinds Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Myrtle only posted an OBP of .433.

Central Hinds Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Myrtle, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

One thing working in Central Hinds Academy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
