Football Recap: Moody Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bruceville-Eddy last Friday, Moody came back down to earth. The Bearcats came up short against the Rosebud-Lott Cougars on Friday, falling 32-8. The Bearcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.

Lee Womack threw for 64 yards on seven of 19 attempts. Caleb Stinson was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards. On the ground, Dominic Eubanks rushed for 77 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rosebud-Lott to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pryce Rabroker, who threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 60 yards and one TD. That's the most passing yards Rabroker has posted since back in September of 2024. Rosebud-Lott's leading receiver Kaiden Johnson was Rabroker's top target yet again, picking up 142 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The defeat snapped Moody's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. As for Rosebud-Lott, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Moody didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 24-6 loss against Crawford on the 24th. As for Rosebud-Lott, they have also already played their next matchup, a 48-0 win against Bruceville-Eddy on the 23rd.
