The Hoquiam Grizzlies lost against the Elma Eagles on January 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Hoquiam took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elma.
Elma's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cason Seaberg led the charge by scoring 21 points. Seaberg is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Traden Carter, who scored 11 points along with five assists and two steals.
Hoquiam has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Elma, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoquiam will take on Eatonville at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Eatonville is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Elma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Raymond at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
