High Point Christian Academy got a great performance from Paisley Dixon as she struck out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Dixon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Hailey Allred was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Maci Burkhart also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
High Point Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wesleyan Christian Academy only managed ten hits.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.13 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They fell just short of Lawrence Academy by a score of 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Crusaders have suffered since April 23, 2024.
Adison Gardner was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Olivia Hochevar was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
High Point Christian Academy's record now sits at 7-3. As for Grace Christian, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. High Point Christian Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Grace Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs.
