The Floresville Tigers were the 55-45 winner over the Alamo Heights Mules when they last played one another back in February of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. Floresville fell just short of Alamo Heights by a score of 57-54.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordin Johns, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Anahi Rodriguez, who scored 10 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alamo Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Berkley Hart, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hart has scored at least 25% of Alamo Heights' points. Another player making a difference was Megan Hawkins, who scored 11 points along with 6 steals.
Floresville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Alamo Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Floresville will challenge Sotomayor at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sotomayor is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.1 points per game. Alamo Heights' road trip will continue as they head out to face SA Roosevelt at 12:30 p.m. on November 20th. Hopefully SA Roosevelt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday.
