Last week, Ascension Catholic put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They made easy work of KIPP Renaissance and carried off a 56-26 win.
Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their contest against Lusher. Thomas Jefferson were given a punishing 7-47 defeat at the hands of Lusher. Thomas Jefferson were down by 7-41 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Ascension Catholic's victory lifted them to 3-0 while Thomas Jefferson's loss dropped them down to 1-2. In their victory, Ascension Catholic relied heavily on junior Jai Williams, who rushed for 406 yards and 5 touchdowns. Thomas Jefferson will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
