Independence is 1-7 against the Bruins since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Independence 76ers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Branham Bruins at 7:00 p.m. Independence has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
Last Friday, Independence was the victim of a rough 74-53 defeat at the hands of the Longhorns. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Independence in their matchups with the Longhorns: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, after a string of 15 wins, Branham's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 70-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Teresa. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Independence dropped their record down to 3-18 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Branham, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-2.
Independence was taken down by the Bruins 72-35 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Independence have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
