Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Augusta). They were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over the Clarendon Lions on Tuesday. The Red Devils not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29, 2024.

Braydon Nichols was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddox Bowen, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Augusta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .781. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Augusta's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Clarendon, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Augusta will head out to take on Pangburn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clarendon, they will venture away from home to face off against Bradford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
