The Mount Miguel Matadors lost against the Christian Patriots back in March of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Mount Miguel fell 50-40 to Christian. Mount Miguel has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Mount Miguel still got an impressive performance from Mekhi Sydney, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasen Hughes, who scored nine points.
Mount Miguel's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Mount Miguel will be playing in front of their home fans against Mar Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Darius Montgomery and Sydney. As for Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Grossmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
