Softball Recap: Ethel Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ethel had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Lumberton Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 11 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Ethel's third in a row) raised their record to 17-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Lumberton, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-7-1 record.

As of now, neither Ethel nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
