On Friday, Canyon del Oro got the win against Maricopa by a conclusive 15-2. Fans of the Dorados have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Jacey Mazura made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Molly Herman was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kayla Hendrix, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Canyon del Oro pushed their record up to 15-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Casa Grande, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canyon del Oro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .473. However, it's not like Casa Grande struggles in that department as they've averaged .380. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
