Riverside and Albemarle squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Riverside had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Albemarle Patriots by a score of 64-61. The Ram's defeat signaled the end of their 20-game winning streak.

Riverside's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Lawson, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 16 points and seven rebounds. Lawson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brady Peterson, who shot 64% from the field en route to 15 points.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 27-2. As for Albemarle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Albemarle, they will take on Green Run at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a 11-game winning streak alive.
