Barnes is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 18 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kyrhstan Sullivan, who scored ten points along with eight assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Grovetown's game on Saturday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Josey. The Warriors have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Grovetown saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Layla Brinson, who scored five points in addition to three steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Cavalier, who posted seven points.
Having lost for the first time this season, Grovetown fell to 2-1. As for Lakeside, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
