The Suffolk Christian Academy Knights suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 45-25 walloping at the hands of Summit Christian Academy. Suffolk Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.
Despite the defeat, Suffolk Christian Academy had strong showings from Harper Sullivan, who scored four points along with four steals and two blocks, and Nora LeMay, who scored no points. Sullivan is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Summit Christian Academy was led to victory by Ava Christophel and Jirah Comeaux. Christophel dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Comeaux scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Comeaux continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Liz Twigg, who scored three points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Suffolk Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for Summit Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Suffolk Christian Academy will be playing at home against Great Hope Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Great Hope Baptist comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Spirit HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Spirit HomeSchool will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
