Pickens County extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 5 this week by beating Parrish, 28-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Tornadoes.
Marion County's Sean Wallace and DeShawn Riebeshel have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wallace has thrown for 529 yards this season, while Riebeshel has eight catches for 208 yards. The Tornadoes' Jermichael Harris leads the league in rushing yards with 634.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Hubbertville takes on Pickens County. The Lions are in third place, while James Tidwell's team is in first place.
Berry led 1A Region 5 in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on Brilliant.
