Homer made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,337 from 9,222. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 62-38 victory over Lakeside last week.
The Pelicans led 2A District 1 in scoring this week by notching 62 points on the Warriors.
Calvary Baptist Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Shea Patterson threw for 198 and 3 touchdowns and Jake Bartley had 49 yards receiving. Shun Brown helped Calvary Baptist Academy's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 45 yards.
He was 8-10 with 0 interceptions.
Patterson put up the best numbers in passing as the Cavaliers bested Lakeview.
Calvary Baptist Academy's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cavaliers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Patterson has thrown for 1,372 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Brown has 21 catches for 488 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Calvary Baptist Academy takes on Lakeside. As it stands, John Bachman, Sr.'s team is in third, while the Warriors are in second.
