Having just played yesterday, the Olympic Heights Lions will head out on the road to face off against the West Boca Raton Bulls at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Olympic Heights was able to grind out a solid win over Spanish River, taking the game 57-50.
Olympic Heights' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devon Brenner led the charge by scoring 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Christian Cadet, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, West Boca Raton earned a 63-52 win over Pine Crest on Tuesday. The victory was just what West Boca Raton needed coming off of a 74-51 defeat in their prior match.
Olympic Heights' win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for West Boca Raton, they pushed their record up to 8-10 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Olympic Heights couldn't quite finish off West Boca Raton in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 65-63. Can Olympic Heights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
