Teiyon Halbasch Delivers Best  Effort of Season
 Sadly,  Teiyon Halbasch posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Layton over Syracuse on Thursday. Halbasch picked up 307 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 80 yards.
 Layton is  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-5. They and Weber are set to duel  on Wednesday.

Farmington Gets a Boost from Hoopes in  28-20  Win
 Farmington picked up their third consecutive win   on Thursday thanks in part to  Travis Hoopes. Hoopes did his part (and then some), rushing for 145 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry for the 'W'. He is becoming a predictor of Farmington's success: when he posts  at  least two  rushing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).
 Farmington is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record  this season. Hoopes' next  matchup is against Fremont on Wednesday, where he'll look to repeat that solid  performance.

A Season-Best  Performance from  Owen Simkins Leads Fremont over Weber
  Owen Simkins produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Fremont to the win  on Thursday. Simkins rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 70 yards.
 Simkins and Fremont will head out on the road to  face off against  Farmington  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The  match will pit Simkins up against  the Phoenix's star RB  Travis Hoopes. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Bode Sparrow's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Davis over Farmington
  Bode Sparrow continued his hot streak  on Thursday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with  at least 101  receiving yards. He picked up 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Davis's success: when he posts  at  least 100  receiving yards the team is 5-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
 Davis' loss  ended  a  ten-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 6-3. Sparrow and Davis are taking a road trip to  take on Syracuse  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.

Jett Salmon Turns in Season-Best  Performance
  Jett Salmon produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Farmington to the win  on Thursday. Salmon picked up  two  sacks, forced a fumble,  and made nine total tackles.
 This season,  Salmon  has averaged 6.8 total tackles per game  and for the season has 6 sacks.
