Basketball Recap: Taylor Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Taylor unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by the Franklin Lions 60-21. While losing is never fun, the Ducks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 515th, while the Lions are ranked 208th).

Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Franklin, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will face off against Lampasas at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Franklin, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lexington at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
