Evanston hadn't done well against East recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Devils came out on top against the Thunderbirds by a score of 2-0. The Devils were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Thunderbirds, so the Devils were just returning the favor.

Evanston got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Afton Brown out in front who had 11 assists and five digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brinley Hanks, who had seven digs and two aces.

Evanston has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Evanston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Riverton on the 26th. As for East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Douglas on the 26th.
