The Abington Galloping Ghosts had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past Cumberland Valley with points to spare, taking the game 57-43. That's another feather in the cap for Abington, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nolan Buzalka, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Lebo, who scored 10 points.
Abington's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Cumberland Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Abington will take on Hatboro-Horsham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Dauphin East at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
