C. Milton Wright has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Harford Tech Cobras at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (C. Milton Wright is ranked 91st, while Harford Tech is ranked 94th).
Last Monday, C. Milton Wright came up short against Edgewood and fell 26-17.
Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Harford Tech made off with a 17-16 victory over Edgewood. The win was just what Harford Tech needed coming off of a 44-20 defeat in their prior match.
Harford Tech's win last Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karon Evans, who picked up 130 receiving yards and a touchdown. Evans was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 67 yards. Jamaal Pearl jr and his 86 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Harford Tech's victory.
Edgewood's win bumped their season record to 7-1 while C. Milton Wright's loss dropped theirs to 5-3.
C. Milton Wright beat Harford Tech 7-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for C. Milton Wright since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
