The Branford Hornets were the 52-44 winner over the Guilford Grizzlies when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Branford took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies on Friday.
Guilford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keira Reynolds, who scored 17 points along with six assists and five steals. Reynolds hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Alexa Kukta, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Branford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Guilford, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Branford will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. As for Guilford, they will head out on the road to take on the Guardians at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Glastonbury presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Grizzlies in Connecticut (the Guardians are ranked eighth, while the Grizzlies are ranked 114th).
